The Hearing Aid Assistance Tax Credit Act

Did you know that 70% of hearing aid purchases involve no third party payment? This places the entire burden of the purchase on the consumer!  Currently, there is very important legislation in the House (H.R. 1646) and Senate (S. 1410) to provide tax credit assistance for such purchases.  This would be available to those that are 55+ or parents of a hearing impaired child.  The credit will be for purchases up to $500 per hearing aid every 5 years. 

Supporters of this bill include the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, A.G. Bell, the Hearing Loss Association of America, the Hearing Industries Association, the International Hearing Society, and many others.
