| Monday through Friday, during the time period of 10am to 11am, one of our staff audiologists holds this time slot open for patients who may have an immediate need for attention to their hearing aid. This time is set aside to handle minor and quickly solved problems (examples: a new battery door needs to be snapped on, tubing needs to be re-glued to an earmold, a wax protection system seems to be full and needs changing, etc). Problems that require more time (such as hooking up the aid to the computer and making setting changes) are much better handled by making an appointment with your audiologist.
We ask our patients to recognize that there are days when this walk-in time is very busy and we may not be able to see everyone by 11:00. There are also days when no one comes in during this time. We ask for your understanding; we are offering this as a service and cannot predict which days will be busy and which will not. Please check with our front office staff when you arrive and they will give you an idea of how much of a waiting period there may be.
There is no difference in what you will be charged (if your aid is out of warranty) in terms of being seen during walk-in time and being seen for a scheduled appointment with your audiologist. |
